The picture is even more grim when we think of how many untold millions of people are hurting and suffering from other tragedies that we will never hear or know.
The Lord is close to those who are broken hearted and crushed in their spirit. There are many experiences in life that can break our hearts such as disappointments, deaths, hurts, failures, missed opportunities, loss etc.
