HUNGRY HEARTS

COMMUNITY

SERVICE WORK PROGRAM

A work project utilizing ex-offenders, parolees, clients, and volunteers within our community.

 

Primary Work Location:  Grace Fellowship International Church

Primary Work Address:   123 West 10th Street Erie, PA 16501

When: Saturday Mornings 7:00AM - 10:00AM

Make-up: Thursday Evenings 5:00PM - 7:00PM

 

Community Events are scheduled as needed or requested.

Psychological benefits

Volunteering increases overall life satisfaction and helps participants feel good about themself because they are helping others. It can also help to decreases stress and ease depression.

Social benefits

Volunteering engages participants with the community, creates special bonds with the population being served, and increases social awareness and responsibility.

 

Cognitive benefits

Volunteering helps participants enhance their personal knowledge, grow from new experiences, and develop better interpersonal communication skills.  Gives  participants a way to gain work experience and learn more about certain jobs
